The BBQ Pork is usually my fav. I've been going to the same Vietnamese sandwich place on Bellaire (Houston) for over ten years.

This new place does not have Pho. Is there a decent Pho place on the island?

9300 Bellaire, the next block west of DIHO, it's called the Thanh Noi Sandwich Shop. Every once in a while I'll rustle up a group and go to the Lai Lai Dumpling House in the corner of the strip center.

Pho 20 (that was in that location) is passable. They moved down Broadway right past the Donut Palace.

I grew up eating at Givral on Milam and West Drew. The Bahn Mi were $1.50, $2.00 for Charcoal Pork and if you bought 5 you got one free. That got us through a lot of rough times. It's gotten a lot fancier now. They even have refrigeration! LOL!
