I like blue as well. It's all personal preference.

I only buy the cheaper models which are about $150, UV protection and all, and the color really doesn't matter too much. The copper color is popular for the West End and there's even a model called the "Galveston." I've had my smoke colored lenses for 5 years and still am happy. It's called eye protection.

I don't see the diffrence in the 580's verses the 400's , but that's just me.

If I remember correct 580s are glass an 400s are plastic

The new polycarbonate stuff is really cool and lightweight. Same thing, optically. You just have to be careful not to scratch them.

I just picked up some 580g blue and I think they're a little dark for the bay. I'm starting to wish I'd picked up the green. Oh well, either way they're great glasses.
