I like using a tandem fishing rig with a mud minnow and a red and white tail. My opinion, the best combo for flounder. Plus they last longer (get more cast out of them). And you'll find that they wont be stollen off your rig like shimp.Originally posted by Bosco4300 View PostAll the bait shops in surfside had mud minnows this morning. What do you guys fish for with mud minnows i have never tried them?

You can use them for anything, but I mainly fish for flounder and trout. Great success. Im just tired of feeding all the crap fish with shrimp. But all in all I should be happy I'm at least catching something, right.Originally posted by Bosco4300 View PostSo mainly a flounder bait?
Also, Where is a good place to fish for reds?

good info! i learned about mud minnows living in florida. if you can get good sized ones they will catch anything and they will stay alive in a bait bucket forever.Originally posted by 03Marine View PostI like using a tandem fishing rig with a mud minnow and a red and white tail. If I have any left over I take them home, put on the oxygen and put a piece of dog food in it and they will last at least 2 weeks. Keep in mind, you got to change out the water or pour more water in it. (of course thats for the bigger ones, little ones will die within 4-5 days) I even kept them alive for a while using bottled water. Surprised the crap out of me.Originally posted by SUPER SPOOK View Postgood info! i learned about mud minnows living in florida. if you can get good sized ones they will catch anything and they will stay alive in a bait bucket forever.
Im just tired of calling all the bait shops to see if they have any, and was wondering if anyone seen some in one of the shops today, cause im going out in the morning and was debating what time to wake up is a shop is out of the way.
