AADE Fishing tournament 2009

Ok here is the update. Trout was 6.55 ot 6.8 1st place.My team 101 weighed no fished. Our biggest was 22" all day. One team member won a baitcast reel from bass pro. No other door prizes.The five people drawn for the Boat? yep you got it Ole Corndog himself. Heres the deal before the tournament we decided all big fish or boat would be split four ways. Me, Lurefisher, Sneaky Pete and the team captain Lerroy Patin known to us as elroy. They then draw one name and that person is out. Well I end as last two standing and geuss who know has a brand new boat courtesy of Skeeter decked out with all the trimmings? NOT ME!!! Man 2nd place sucks. Wait let me stop so I can go puke again. Make it stop feeling like someone shoved a super spook down my throat and into my stomach and yanked it out with a tow truck.Well what a rush it was standing up in front of hundreds of people. Sneaky pete and Lure fisher cheering me on. Also all of my oilfield buds giving me the business. Congratulation to the young kid that won it. Hopefully he will wear it out and bang it up and use it like it should be used. I worry it will make its lone summer of fishing and end up garaged covered in dust only to get a glimmer of light when her owner says yeah I won that and closes the door.That boat will be sad to know that ole corndog would have put her on plane on many a foul weather days and run her like a hound dog on a coon. She will forever miss the BS,Old stories, beer drinkin and hell raising that she knows I would have shown her. She will sit eager waiting to hear the sound of Ice and drinks being loaded into herbelly.She will only hope someday After collecting layers of dust Ole Corndog will come in and buy her back and take her to were she belongs so she may spend the later years of her life being rode hard and put up wet. Thanks to all of the AADE fisherman and the workers that raised alot of cash for needy kids. For those that want to fish a great tournement and have alot of fun check itout. Ask Sneaky Pete and lurefisher they told me that was the most fun they have had with their clothes on in a long time. Later gotta go clean some fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH CORNDOG thanks man,WE were there front and center im telling you guys what a tourney ,there we are they prob. gave away 3 to 4 houndred door prizes not one of us got are name called out.Then the dude says were going to give the boat away,and gives the rules.Im going to draw 5 names then those 5 will come up front.so he says some mans name then we hear RAY CORN,Corndog made his approch like Jack Nicholson hands down by his side ,So they take the 5 names put them in the box ,and he says ok im going to draw a name if you hear your name your out the last name in the hat wins.I look at sneeky and Elroy and said dudes thats 10 grand we got ther if the dog wins,Cordog faught it out to be the second to the last one standing,If you were ther you heard us,
As for the fishing we did allright for considering the high pressure,maybe Cordog can get me a bounty up for my lure I lost,look all over for the Pimp but no sightings .

Thanks to Corndog,Lurefisher and our Team Capt. LeeRoy...I had a blast at this tourney.I almost gave up tourney fishing due to pressure and high entry fees with little paybacks.I fished the Troutmasters for 3 years when ole Mickey ran it and those were some fun tournements.I have to say this was the most fun I have ever had in a tourney,the guy's on my boat weren't concerned with winning at all cost they just wanted to have a fun day on the water....and man did I have a blast...I'll fish it again next year,the door prizes were amazing,they must have given away 100 rod's 50 reels and so much gear they had a trailer they kept hauling it out..Thanks to the TEAM LEERoy,Corndog,and Lurefisher let's gett'em next year...

Was least amount of door prizes ever I noticed. Still a great tourney. We do it for the door prizes and fun. We've won reds, sheepies and big fish before over the years.

Was least amount of door prizes ever I noticed. Still a great tourney. We do it for the door prizes and fun. We've won reds, sheepies and big fish before over the years.
