I've been using PowerPro braid for years.
It is noisy when used on a rod with the metal recoil guides.
With the ceramic insert type guides its fine.

On my heaver stuff (30lb - 120lb) I like the Power Pro, for the light stuff I love the 10-12lb Berkly braid, I think it stands up longer than the other stuff and is much quieter. It really holds it's color well also...

a
