I got out for a couple hours this morning. Four sandies. one bull whiting and a solid 18" spec. Threw every soft plastic color I had. Young men down from me were catching keeper specs on live croaker. Water was cold as hell with that east breeze.

Another slow, grind it out type of day, but produced some nice fish. Caught a 25" trout within the first 10 mins, a couple 18-20 mixed in between us and the rest 15-17. Had 5 between us at 9:30 and then had some bait and birds move in when the tide started coming in about 9:45. Picked up 6 between about 20 minutes.

Fished at J.B. yesterday morning and caught 2 keepers on tops and lost 3 others. Just got a text from a guy who was soakin' croakers at the same time at the state park. He and his 2 buddies caught 49.Comment

elbow to elbow in surfside this am., thought it was a saturday. most poeple left before the bite started around 9:30.landed 7 good trout 18 to 25 on plastics and live mullet.bigger ones on mullet.the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
