      Better wear your marsh stompers DB! There is light at the end of the tunnel.

      I don't know why that pic made me think about this, but this is a memory of a street flood back in '79.

      Anybody ever own a VW bug? In a flood like that, they start floating. When I was a kid in New Orleans we got a flood that was so bad we had to tie the VW up to the front porch railing. Darn thing had floated down the street.

                The Alvin flood of 79 was crazy!!!! We had 4' of water in our house. Alvin sucks when it comes to flooding.

                      After traveling around the county a bit, I have to say you couldnt of planned drainage for this much rain..ya just gotta live high enough above not to get wet,12 inches of rain and a nice high tide can do this to ya!!!Might be caused by global cooling!

                        I remember the flood of 79. I was 6 and I lived off edgebrook. I remember my dad waking up and opening the front door and the water was an inch or so from coming in the house.

                          Found this 20" plus dude out in flooded west bay. It was nice out there. If anyone catches a big trout wih a pink skitterwalk stuck in its face can you please return it. I'll give you a few bucks for it!!

                              It was real bad going to Harby junior high back in the day and the roads flooding during school hours and living on mustang road by the jr collage... Talk about the long way home WOW...
