    Noooooo!!!!!

    Ahhhhhhh.... I suck arse for only having one spook Jr. Just finished doing some work, and decided to hit the dike and see what I can do. Driving down on the right hand side just before the shrimp boats I see bait popping and birds everywhere and its calm. So I stop throw on a softy and start working, just baby hits. So I switch to my trusty Bone colored spook Jr and bshhhhhh blow up, reel in throw again HOOK UP!!!! In 10 min I landed 3 beautiful specs from 19"-22" . So I unhook the last one throw her in the chest and boom hook up again, and then it happens.... POP line goes slack.. noooooooo my only spook lost. I guarantee I could have limited in 30 min. Phewww ok calm down, woooosaaaahhh.. at least I got dinner!!!!

        Lmao... Yup probably would've turned out that way. I am extremely new to topwaters, hell I'm new to artificial. So for me that was exciting as hell. And if I goto Academy, when I get back the bite will be off, lol.

          Use a 20# flourocarbon leader tied to your line. May help with nicks that cause breaks-also less re-tying due to nicks.

            I do that all the time, since I live within walking distance of the surf or bay. One lure and that's it! It's a real challenge but the bone Spook is one of my favorites. Dinner is all I want anyway - I ain't no meat locker packer!

                    I was using mono.. and using my crappy reel too. I usually use braid but I hadn't spooled this one up with it yet, so I have the crappiest line in the world on it that I got for xmas..12lb suffix camo.. stuff Sux.

                          Ha ha I figured. I have had the same braid on for like 6 or 7 months and it's the only thing on my rig that has actually held up...reels breaking, swivels snapping, hooks breaking off but that performance pro is sturdy. I'll never go back to mono! Anyways good job.
