It's not so much the water temp for me it's the air temp. The water can be 75 degree that's good enough to wet wade bit if the air temp is in the 60's and cloudy and windy I'm gonna wear my breathables. If the water temp is 75 and the air temp is warmer and maybe sunny I will wet wade.

Prolonged exposure to 75 degree water will lead to hypothermia or at least what i read but they said like 6 or 7 hours

Mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

Been wading in the surf for quite some time since the water hit 74. The issue is bait, just don't see much in the first and second gut, so no swimming bait, no birds, I'll call it off after a short while. Should pick up later this month.

I've been soaking the family jewels for over a month now. When i was younger we wouldn't think nothing of waking up to a morning soak in the frio,Guadalupe or sabinal rivers in the winter. It will cure a hangover.

I started wet wading the last week of March.I'm a cold water monger.I can wet wade in water in the mid 60's,on a sunny, light wind day.But like Pimp said,it all depends on the air temp. for me.If it's overcast with some wind, and the water is in the mid 60's,I'll throw on the breathables. If it's the surf,I'll just tough it out.I will never wear waders in the surf;that's asking for trouble.
