HELP! Have tourney-where to try?

    HELP! Have tourney-where to try?

    Me and 5 buddies are in the AADE (drilling engineer's) SWFT. It is a charitable event and has bay and offshore categories. We're gonna fish bays-pots are slot reds, bull reds, trout, sheepies and flounder-pays 1-7 for each and all are the same. I was figuring trout and reds but the competition is high for those and I rarely fish for flounder at all (no patience). Where would you hit-I was thinking Jetties since can catch Trout, Reds (bull and Slot) and sheeps there or SLP bridge. Also Chocolate Bay area? What do you all think?

    I use to fish the AADE for years back in the 90's. It is a great tournament....lot's of fun. If I were you, I would definitely go to the Jetties, if the weather allows. Try to get your bait the night before, or get up extra early.....that is a big tournament. Let us know how you do.

      The big question is when is the tournament and what the weather will be like. I'll be fishing Friday and they are currently calling for less than 10mph winds from the North so we are planning on hitting the north shoreline. Reds (slot) and trout (good ones) have been coming from that area.

        Been in it since it started-never won the boat, but the 1 year I did win the grand door prize was the year no boat was given and got a $500 rod and reel. I am driving last years boat-bought it from the guy that won it. It is a great tourney. Go Team 49!!

              I think you should anchor at the end of your boat house and fish your famous fish lights while Mark and I run to the jetties and come back with the winner...

                    This weekend

                    Yeah, I will...coming down late Friday and going to hit the jetties and scout out the territory...also want to fish Sunset some more as I have seen so much bait being chased around there...

                          Robalo you should go and try way up in chocalate bayou I hear that they are killin them up there!!!! JK I'll Be fishing with lurefisher and sneeky pete on team 101 see you at the weigh in!!!! South Jettie with croaker has produce heavy fish for this tourney in the past. Hannah reef produces a lot of heavy trout last year. Mouth of the brazos produced a near winner in redfish last year had our other team mates not tried to trim his tail at the weigh in station with the leader standing right there. HAHA
