I have a rod that snapped a foot from the tip and was wondering if its possible to repair??? I usually just get a new one but this one has major sentimental value. So it doesn't matter whether it's cost effective. If it's possible I would like to get it done. Does anyone know a place that does that?If it is even possible

There are some repair guys who will put a ferrule on it but the action will never be the same.
As Kenny suggested put a new tip and presto you have a little heavier action rod."Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after" ~ Henry David Thoreau

Bet that ain't too pretty! LOLOriginally posted by smooth movei've had some success using old rod peices to put a slug inside and outside of the break, and epoxying it all together. i,ve got a 6' 5" all star setting up now. when i get the eyes put back on, i have a double foot eye put on over each splice joint to kind of double enforce it. it definatly changes the action, sometimes for the better. not sure if it would be worth it as close to the tip as yours is though."GET OFF MY REEF!"
