  • 4/22 Near Redfish Island

The weather Sunday turned out to be great! We hadn't planned to do any fishing because of the recent rains and the cool front on Friday, but the weather was so nice we just had to head out. We stayed close to home, leaving from Egret Bay boat ramp and headed out to Galveston Bay past the Kemah Boardwalk. We ended up near Redfish Island and drifted along the ship channel. We caught several nice size Gafftop, along with some Sand Trout and Whiting. We even hooked up with a couple of good sized Black Drum. Below is a pick of my son holding a Black Drum he caught on live shrimp. All in all the day was great!
