me and my buddies once ask my brother about Dr.s who delivers babbies because a alot of girls were talking about their ob's and how good/smart they were. he said all you have to do to is be like a QB and hold your hands out go hut-hut-hut..

Here's my take, encourage her to attend the baby shower, but its not your thing, you just make sure you ooh and aahhh over the present she picks out. Make note of the wrapping paper, it is important. Oh and the bows and ribbons Those showers have always been historically a girl thing. So tell her that you so want her have the best of time with her girl friends and with the new mother. You want her to enjoy the time there, and not put up with your boredom and your not so excited mood by being there, so just tell her she would have so much a better time without you at this event, tell her you just want to let her have fun. Encourage the fun thing, and you being like a downer, not intentionally mind you, but its just not your thing.

And a couple of tulips you just happened to think of her when you were at the Kroger, wouldnt hurt.

So I have been planning on fishing the Blackjack tourney for a long while now. All of a sudden my wife tells me we have to go to our good friends from high school baby's shower. (we have stayed close friends with them forever and they even went to LSU with us). Should I skip a good friends baby shower to selfishly do what I want to do?

Maybe I can try to get him to skip it as well and join us for the tourney, but I doubt it.

What is one to do? Any good ideas

Tulips on the organ would be better, then grab your other rod and say "See ya later, honey." and go fishing. Like I said, when she says you're "cut off", tell her she can't because she don't know where you're getting it. Hope ya catch a limit.
