Decided to get back to W Gal today after spending the fall and winter in Baffin and East Matty
Got to the ramp early and waited out a storm till almost 10, water off color, higher winds than projected

Jumped outta the boat at my first spot, and lo and behold had a rattlesnake want to join me, didn't take me long to depart and let him be.

Fished till 3 only one redfish yielded

Me and you both! No worse feeling than trying to swat away a snake with your best Waterloo rod! You start out just waving it over him, then tapping him until you have to go ninja on his arse, all the while, hoping you don't break your fave rod!! LOL

A few weeks ago in an unnamed bayou west of Galveston and east of Freeport I had a water moccasin headed towards my boat but slapped him away with my push pole.
