LOL -- Gilbert, this seems to be a recurring theme.

First of all... I started as a liver baiter and will always use some live bait!!! After learning about and trial and error with arties I will admit,( though hard to do as a "live baiter") that there's is just something about using plastics that makes fishing well, funner!!! I am not lucky enough to get down there too often. I do strictly wade fishin west bay and the surf so needless to say when i go hit the water its a 4am to 9pm event!!!!!!!!! So I will keep anything that i can that is legal.
if i dnt catch dinner, i will catch a buzz. it works out!

When did fishing for specks become the bassmaters elite series? The guys who make the regulations are a lot smarter than a bunch of opinionated fishermen on the internet. Follow the rules and the fishery will be fine. There is many years of research that goes into determining what the sustainable population of a species is. And yes, sometimes I keep big fish and sometimes I fish a whole day and don't keep a single one. Sometimes I fish with live bait and somedays I will throw a topwater for 5hrs straight. It is my choice to fish how I want and what to do with the fish I catch. Some of you guys take this fishing stuff way too seriously. It is supposed to be fun, remember?
