In the Galveston Bay area, no clue. I have never heard anyone refer to anything as "Big Lake".

I know it is the biggest. Both of the lakes you mentioned are huge. However, "Big Lake" may mean something different to those Louisianians in SE Louisiana (New Orleans) vs. SW Louisiana (Lake Charles).
