I agree with you, but only partially. I love going fishing with my wife but once a year it is a guys only deal. That's why I started NoNags. NoNags gets us somewhere on the Texas coast every year for a week of nothing but fishing and guy stuff. This year we are in Galveston and look to get our fill of all the bay has to offer. Last year we invaded Rockport and worked their waters over pretty good so we hope to have the same success this year in west bay. No "shopping trips or manicures, just fishing, drinking, lying and all of the other activities we would be in trouble for if the women were near.

Here's something for all of the mouth breathers of the fish west end forum to get a headache over as they ponder this little tid bit.

Why in the hell do guys find it cool to take the women fishing with them? Especially the girlfriend/wife?

Listen...fishing is to get away from the nagging, honey do's, watching re-runs of Desperate Housewives of the OC, giving foot massages, and countless other negatives that come with having a "better half". If you have to take a girl with you...because you're "one of those guys"...then at least go get one of the pole dancers from Ocean's to make it interesting(please take lots of photos from various angles)((try to get the one armed stripper)).

Fishing is a manly thing. Catching fish, getting covered in slime, guts, blood, drinking, smoking, spitting, cussing, telling lies, recalling to your buddies old spank bank memories from the golden years, and various other manly topics are typical during an outing on the water. Seriously...who here can say they do all the same old stuff when the old hen is sitting on the other side of the boat, painting her toenails, and telling you about how her sister's, friend's, cousin's, girlfriend's, boyfriend is such a pig because he goes out with the boys on wing night and comes home drunk and covered in another girl's perfume.

I've just seen this as a growing trend here over my two week period of being back, and it concerns me.

Just looking out for my Fish West End brethren.

PS...if said lady friend just has to go fishing with you, multiple pics in skimpy/revealing clothing should be mandatory. Failure to do so shall result in an immediate ban on your FWE privelages. What say ye Super Moderators?
