My girlfriend decided she wanted to go fishing with me to see what I love to do. She has wanted to go since December but I held out until the lights would become productive again, so she could have some quick action. We headed out for only about an hour but we had a blast. She got her limit of reds and ended the night with a suprise catfish that weighed 6-8 pounds. She started with the gulp ripple mullet but they just wouldn't hit the bait. I switched her over to a ripple mullet on the spinnerbait so it would be easier to work and she proceeded to tear em up! That was the highlight of my week fishing. I have gone early early early in the morning a few times to escape the spring break crowds and the topwater bite has been amazing. Large specks and hefty reds have been fairly easy to locate. They have been favoring the black/chartreuse skitterwalk.

Lets hope we never find out!lol we will call sonnys gf again worst case scenario...im not brave enough to wake my gf up at 4 in the morning to see if she will drive an hour to get me...I would much rather face the wrath of nature!
