Galveston Trout Series

Dpop and myself hit the Galveston Trout Series yesterday. We fished West Bay yesterday and actually had a pretty good bite and weather for a change during a tourney. Super Spooks were our bait of choice for most of the day as we had some really good blow-ups. All in total we caught between 20 and 30 Trout and most of them were over 3 lbs. Just couldnt connect on a big bite. I had one Trout at first light that may have went 6 or 7lbs crash a topwater but coudn't connect. Dpop and 2 good big bites but couldnt get hooked up either. It was a good day fish catching wise but couldnt get the big fish today. Yesterdays Trout bite was really aggressive! We probably had 50 to 60 blowups in total as we watched Trout just wrecklessly crash topwaters in 2 to 4' of water. It was really fun to watch except for the big girl I watched miss my Spook. Congrats to all of yesterdays winners. It was nice to have favorable weather for a change.

Lol the trout have been playing volleyball with my topwater all winter long...... But the last few weeks have been interesting.

It was actually a pretty good day of catching em. The toughest part was just getting a couple big ones. We had a game plan and it worked just like we thought it would. We just needed to make a couple of the big bites stick. That is the way it goes sometimes but it was fun watching those fish blast the hell out of our spooks like they were mad a the world.

That ain't no joke dpop about them blasting the hell out of them spooks.It sucks i will not get to fish this week!
