Went this morning was an awesome morning went out to a couple spots 2nd cast i hook up on one it steals my lure off my speed clip. oh well

ran around nothing started drfting some reefs we caught 3 trout decided to go the camp to get stuff loaded and rdy so we could grab it and go back fishing on the way in running the middle of the channel we sheared a blade off the prop and thus ended our day.

We hit nothing we were in the middle of the chocolate channel it just sheared off i was running wot. it was fine then the motor just started shaking like crazy so i shut it down lifted the motor and it was gone.


there was no obstuction it prolly had a strss crack in it or its a defect or something. i know we didnt hit anything becuase the wheel didnt turn at all it just started vibrating the boat and it ran striaght.


it was me and my normal fishing partner he and my mom are partners in the boat.

its a 16 or a 17 im not sure we are gunna take it to someone he knows and buy a spare.

you can see the where it oxidized from an older fault that went undetected vs the shiny new break where it came off.

we bought the boat in july its an 06 motor but who knows im sure the guys at sport marine went over everything and would of seen it but you never know could of been a couple of months or years i dont know all i know is it ran fine untill today i was going about 42mph when it happend.


what strikes me as odd is i am the one who puts the motor flusher on and flushes the motor after every trip and i look at the front of the prop quite often i am pretty sure i would of noticed it if it was a big crack it must of been a hairline crack that got progressively worse from the inside oxidation.

its just got the guys name who owned the boat before us and 16sm on the prop and that's it.
