  • One of these days ...

Between boat and trailer minor issues , and work , and birthdays , I havent been on the saltwater in 2012, so im thinking I might try to head over to stay at the beach house in bolivar and wade the old beachfront by the ferry landing around the sunken shrimp boats this weekend just to say i tried if nothing else , how has everyone been doing on their walk in spots ??
I dont always drink beer, but when i do , I prefer to be fishing !!!!!

sorry to to here about your lack of fishing I dont walk in much any more ,but I pass in front of the light house a lot and that little cove between the old Fort & the Hwy looks extremely fishable to me.Have you ever fished there? ya gotta watch out for them ships waves coming through a lot of that area!

Sawdust likes that Bolivar pocket but when he told me about that bull shark following him with his stringer of trout I politely declined his invitation.I fish the surf here by the house and had them ankle biters hit me a time or two but never get past the second gut and fish with that looong stringer.

I have fished.alot by the old army fort but usually not until summer , it's great for trout , on the other side of the road from there you can get back to a little beach front full of old pilings and sunken boats that I've had some luck during the spring

I used to wade out in front of lighthouse-a little muddy but not too bad and we stuck quite a few trout-watch the ship wakes some.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

            H. you always touch on old memories, your post reminded me of a trip to the SLP, long stringer fish on it and a danged ol 4 foot hammer head nawwin on my stringer, too young to have sense enough to be scared, turned around and buggy whipped him with my allstar.I still laugh when I think of how he ran like a whipped pup!

Old memories are good for the soul my brother. If that shark wants mine he can sho nuff have em. He's gonna have to bite me in the ***, I'll be moving slowly preferably but I still have that other gear.
