  • Lessons Learned- Put a Float On It

As some of y'all know, I recently made a few purchases. I bought two Kodak Playsports for my fishing adventures. On their maiden voyage, I went kayaking and decided to take some pictures. I was reaching behind me in my crate and *slip*...playsport goes overboard and into the water, fluttering down.

Lesson learned, if you are taking something valuable out in the water, especially in a kayak, put a float on it!

Ouch!! The PlaySport is a sweet camera for the price. I went by Academy today and saw that they had small yellow floats with clips for fairly cheap (under $10), and they are supposed to float anything up to 2lbs, I think I'll be getting a few for the cameras/toys we use offshore.

Johnathan when you up to the Holder Show somebody will be giving away floating key chain's.Get one.Get rid of the brass chain replace it with a SS carbeaner.Pull apart the float and spay a little expanding foam in both pieces and quickly put back together. This is a Ohsheet approved floating device.

They were on sale for 60 bucks at Walmart! Now they are back up to 160 dollars I think. Sighh...I tried for half an hour to fish it out...

Your taking to long to drink beer. Pop top, raise, drink, lower and dispose of empty can. LOL

              Jonathan sorry for your loss.

                Ouch! That smarts!
I wouldn't wear my new sunglasses without a float for just that reason. I'm surprised it wasn't me starting this thread! Sorry Jonathan!
