  • New to this area(love to fish)

    Hey folks
I am a new guy to this area. I am from western oklahoma but love to fish. I don't know anything about saltwater fishing but would like to learn.
I bought a place in Baytown on the water, I have a boat ramp behind the house. Are there any fish in the bay around baytown?? Some of you old salts please respond.

There is a lot of good fishing up there. Especially around the winter time. I don't know a ton but Burnet and Tabbs bays are a good place to start. Look for bait activity and start there. Also get a hot spot map from academy. It will tell you different times of years and where to fish those spots.

That area is tricky to navigate due to leftover pipe and other hazards from oil production but lots of structure and centerpoint has a warm water discharge fromCedar Bayou Power plant take your time and get the best map of that area maybe do google earth search, stay safe and have fun Bbe sure and give us some updates on how well you do!

                  Welcome

That is a very tricky area to navigate especially this time of year with the low tides. The fishing was really good up until all of the rain we have had. Things have kinda slowed down up there for a little bit. I would really recommend hiring a guide to show you the in and out of that area.

Here are a couple good guides that know that area really well

what part of the bay do you live on? if your in burnett or scotts, you can have reall good action, especially at night under lights off the dock. I fish that area a good bit, especially in the winter
