  • Light action rods with back bone

Where or who makes a light tip spinning rod that I could by, like my old All star that I could cast a 1/16 ounce jig way out there. All Star say they don't make them any more. Any advice and help would be deeply appreciated.

Castaways are pretty good for light tackle.

Ugly stick used to make a spinning rod with a really flexible tip. I used it for many years. I changed just about every eye on the blank and the cork handle. It is still in use as a back up to this day.

A good one is Berkley Lightning Rod Shock. It has a good backbone and light. I use it a lot to pull fish out of cover but I do prefer the original lightning rods over them.
