As Jhua stated in a post earlier finding the "Sportsmans Way" is a wonderful thing! I found that way many years ago as a young man.I was able to rekindle that feeling last weekend. Here are my thoughts from last weekend.
I would like to add a note to the sportsmans way. I fished this weekends tourney and it wasn't our day.But we had a great time telling stories and trying to find the fish.I met a new fishing partner and really look forward to fishing with him again(Moe).Nothing better than hearing the story of a CCA winner about how he caught the "big one". Moe is a first class guy in my book!! Location still unknown!! LOL!! After dropping him off so he could head to the weigh in via truck. I braved the seas to run from Chocolate to go to the weigh in.That ride was quite an experience. As I should have expected it was a great time with friend from FWE. I had to make myself leave early. On the way back across west bay I shut the boat down and turned on the radio. Man there was nobody on the bay. I just truned up the country music and drifted for about 20 mintes while I enjoyed a cool one!! Thats ride back was about as close to nature that I have been in a long time. Since my last trip to the deer lease. I could have stayed out there all night!! I even called the ol lady and told her I might just stay on the boat! She said go ahead just let her know. Life is Good !!!! Find the "sportsmans way" and you will be right with yourself!! One of my favorite quotes "get busy living or get busy dying" from "Red" in Shawshank Redemption.
