  • Eyeballs paying the price

This afternoon my eyes finally began to feel a little better, since being screwed up by 3 straight days of fishing in contact lenses with the wind and sand. They can be miserable feeling after one long day, so 3 days has caused some serious pain. Since yesterday I have been contemplating Lasik, Rx sunglasses, fitover sunglasses or trying to get on the recipient list for used eyeballs.

I found the wileyx thread and there Rx sunglasses seem to be better priced than others. I may end up pulling the trigger on a pair soon if I can find them in a store to try them on my fat head. Most sunglasses don't fit me so I don't want to order online.

Anybody have any updated reviews they would like to share, or have a good referral for a dealer in the League City area?

Lasik is the answer. Had it done this past September. WOW! what a difference it makes. I love to fish and ride my motorcycle. Now I don't have to keep up with my glasses. Just grab the Ray Bans and I'm good to go.

          I paid $3k for it...best money I ever spent!

Well you all may laugh at the outcome, but that is because you don't know how cheap/frugal I am. At first, the only frames I could find that I liked and fit well were Oakleys and they are friggin expensive. Even after insurance coverage they would cost about $250. I measure my spending in the amount of boat gas it would buy and that $250 equals 8 to 10 fishing trips, and ain't worth it. My wife suggested looking at Walmart and they have some safety glasses that fit the bill and have a good warranty. The pair with polarizd rx lenses cost me $55 and they should be ready by next tuesday. I can't wait to get them since this last eye killing weekend. Hope I don't loose the da*n things.

                Take care of them eyes!!!

Good Luck with them eyes. I had cataracs in both eyes, Got the Restore Implants and threw the glasses in the Bay. Nothing comes cheap!
