Just another form of taxation. I got taxed in The Woodlands the week before Christmas.

Let them set a court date, call the city attorney, see if you can no show on your court date and come in the following day and pay failure to appear instead of the speeding ticket. Won't go on your record that way, that is usually what I do because I cannot take DD since I have a CDL, worst case scenario see if they will put you on a payment plan. FYI, the DPS have been running 1764 pretty hard the last few days. rs

ask for deferred adjudication and tell them you ain't got any money to pay all at once. They will let you make payments.

Unusually get 2 a year defensive driving for one and deferred adjudication for the other. Deferred adjudication will be a little more money and you will get 2 to 3 months of probation but as long as you don't get a moving violation on the probationary period it will not go on your record.
