Got off work this morning, came home got the fiance', a couple rods, and grabbed one of my tackle packs and met a fellow TRP member and his fiance' in alvin around 12:30pm. Got down to the diversionary around 1 or so and got out to my spot in West Bay and started drifting mud and shell in this 15-20mph wind tides were way low due to north wind blowin alot of the water out, out 1st and 2nd drifts yielded nothing we were in about 4-5 ft of water,moved to the shorline that was windblown and about 2-3 ft of water BAM double hookup 2 rat reds, on our first drift after our move we put 2 keeper reds in the box, 2nd drift 7 reds and the rest of our limits most fish 21-24 with one nice kicker fish 27 7/8", all caught on white w/chartruese tail gulp shrimp....Great way to start the new year!
