I have an older friend who has come to the realization that arthritis has brought his kayaking days to an end. He asked me to look for a good boat for he and his wife. I was hoping y'all could keep your eyes out for me and let me know if you see anything that fits these parameters.
16 foot aluminum flatbottom (flat bow is ok, but semi-V would be better) a 14 would be too small, and an 18 too large for him to handle alone.
25-40 horse motor
Remote steer, key start, and tilt and trim a must
Side console is fine, does not need center console
Riveted is preferable due to weight, but welded is ok
Tunnel would be fine, but not necessary
He is willing to pay up to $3000 for the right boat, so he's not looking for a fixer upper. I know he can get a very good, well maintained used boat for this amount. If y'all could just keep your eyes peeled and let me know if you see a prospect, I'd appreciate it. I'm usually very good at finding boats for folks, but I'm going to be very busy these next few weeks and I thought asking y'all for a hand in this would be the smart thing to do. Thanks! - Sandy
