  • Jack plate said screw you mike...

So, yesterday after making a full day trip, headed back to the ramp to call it a day. Got to the ramp and went to jack it up.....nothing but clicking... I wanted to pass out. Called Bryan at Evans marine so i shot by there this after noon and come to find out my jack plate bit the dust. Guess its time to by that Atlas he has sitting in his office.

    P.S Dear CMC.
    I hate you.

Sorry about your JP crapping out. Did you try replacing the relays?
My CMC is 10 years old and still working fine.

Hate to hear that! But you can't go wrong with an Atlas, I've been running the MicroJacker for almost a year and love it. The Atlas Hi-Jacker is a fine piece of kit too.

Did you direct wire the jp motor to a bat to see if it would work? That is the only way to test the pump. You said it would only go down so that seems like a relay or harness problem.

I had to replace the pump on mine a couple of years ago. It beats buying a new one. I think it was about $600.

If it goes down, jump the other relay and make it go up! Mine did that and it was only a relay issue. Used my hookout pliers and no biggie...P.S....don't stand in water and use insulated pliers!

The motor runs up as well, checked fluid level and is full. Has a bad valve and won't pump fluid. You can change and reverse all day and won't work.
