Is there a low profile baitcaster that is 100% sealed on the market? If not, there should be. Pump the insides full of synth oil.

Great minds think alike. The ignition button would be one of those flap protected buttons with a caution triangle and big red button that says to infinity and beyond. I may add a nano wireless rov with 1080p videoOriginally posted by GoldSpoonGeneral View Postim guessing someone could put some water tight o ring seals on a reel.... but you might as well build it yourself and ad a rocket launcher jig head to that list for longer casts......

I know this doesn't answer the question, but I remember reading about some crazy things surf fishermen have come up with to get baits out past the 3rd bar. One of them involved a 30'06 blank cartridge. Another guy used balloons filled with hydrogen to get them out on the wind, then he'd shoot the balloon with a .22.
I've never heard about a sealed reel, but if nobody has come up with it yet, get a patent and sell it to Penn or Shimano. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

4-5 years back, I used my $700 RC Helicopter to ferry baits out in the surf. I had a separate remote that released the clamp which held the weight. Unfortunately, one day there was a bad draft and I lost control of the copter and it crashed beyond the 3rd bar after releasing the weight. Needless to say, the pilot (me) didn't report the helicopter missing for a few months in fear of repercussions from the higher authorities (my parents)

Thats awesome. I always wondered if those helo and fixed wing RCs have been used to smuggle drugs. Cant see em on radar. The badass versions have HUDs that allow the operators to pan/tilt/zoom, show alt, speed, course, bat voltage, engine temp etc in real time on a remote display. Re: getting baits out... im gonna start a service where people pay uou to take out their baits.. whos in?Originally posted by Jhua View Post4-5 years back, I used my $700 RC Helicopter to ferry baits out in the surf.
