I'm setting me up a rod for fishing soft plastics on the bottom (primarily for flounder) .I know alot of people use different lines for different tactics so I figured I would see wat y'all would suggest. I've used and tried so many damn lines its not even funny from momo, flouro, hybrids and braids. Right now on my reels I have suffix siege it has a lil more stretch than wat I think I need but I'm not sure . So any suggestions?

i fish andies tournament 12lbs test but i recent bought a spool of Berkley big game and thought it was pretty good... make sure if you get andies get the tournament igfa the ones with gold sticker on the side regular andies has more stretch...75% Saltwater 5% led 20 % soft plastic 99% Alcohol 500% Fish stories = the make up of an angler.

FishinFreak is looking for and will get a better hook-up ratio with flounder on braid. You sould have some mono on it so you can break it off if you hook up with something on the bottom.I LIVE IN A SMALL

Take my advice, use mono if you want your lure to sink. All i use is powerpro braid but when its windy and/or strong current and i want my bait to sink, i gotta switch to mono. Braid rests on top of the water and doesnt let light lures sink at all when its being blown around on the surface. Also, forget beingable to work your bait in chop, tge braid sits on top and gets stuck in the water.
If your only fishin in 1-3ft, braid is fine. Anything deeper and you want mono.

I'm fishing Power-Pro 20 and 40 right now, regular green, still seems expensive but it works OK. I don't buy fancy-schmancy line. Stick with the basics. I actually like mono because it doesn't have abrasion issues, which ruins braided line. You just have to know have to fish it, braid or mono. For goodness sake, don't buy no Cajun Red!
