Dad/Daughter Project

The kid and I built our first rod over the past few days and it was a fun project. It's a 6' rod that I think will make an excellent rod to throw spinner baits with in the lake. The threads darkened up on me after the finishing glue was put on and I'll try a color preserver on the next one. That Olive Green sure looked good! Live and Learn! St.Croix SCIII 6' med/fastBefore Finish was applied:After:Kiddo's Trim Bands!

To me those dark spots bring out the rod even more. Great job. I remember the first rod me and my dad built in the early 70's. A little battered now but still works great.
