100% with sandy/Coachlaw. Regs exist-don't ask for more. Whenever the person says: "I'm with the government and I'm here to help." is pure bullchip-the gummint farges **** up, they rarely "improve" things.

I been boarded and full USCG Inspection-took them 40 minutes, lost 2 fish while they didled with the darn computer to run me for warrants (I have none) and made me spill my first beer of the day-I almost cried!!! No tickets-fully legal. I agree with Coe-ya can't fix stoopeeed so let em farging die as part of natural selection. Betters the Gene Pool. If ya want USCG at every ramp, pass or channel, then why work since 80% of your pay will be in taxes-ya ask for gummint help and then check your wallet-it'll be dry as west Texas was this summer!!

no this boat was not going to any camp even tho it was at 2004 the thing about natural selection is it usually isn't the **** stick that gets taken out......

I just can't bring myself to believe that more government regulation could be a good thing. Every time we allow it, something gets mucked up. We've got too much bureaucracy and regulation in this country, and it's driving us broke.

Yup. The GW and Coasties can give you the short inspection if they want. We're not "inspected vessels" so it don't matter for now. You don't want the long inspection, as they always find something wrong. You should see what the do to those poor headboats and shrimpers, they shake them down real hard. If you want you can ask for the USCG Auxiliary to take a look at your boat fr free, often some good advice and usually on dry ground on a trailer. The Coasties will do a comp inspection if you arrange it and visit their station. But you don't want more guv'mint mandates.
I'm still trying to figure out why 4 cases of beer and a Cris Craft is such a bad ideal.
