New to having plastics actually catch anything on a regular bases, so far best bait that I've used to catch fish in the last week has been the TTF Killer Flats Minnow, Matagorda. The pink tail with the glitter kinda rootbeer body seems to be working for me. Several trout and even a ribbon fish the other day. That was fun. Water temp was between 73 - 75 deg F clear water, overcast. Rain started just after we got in.

I'm really hesitant to use them. They were my uncle's before he passed away a while back. I have a lot of his fishing stuff and I don't use them (except his journal). There's only two of them as far as I know.

You can get the broken backs from browns website, I ordered 4, to make them more effective, insert a glass rattle in them, and put smaller hooks on them so they don't get tangled up all the time during your retrieve.

the coke colored corky ice got in my garage has caught mammoth trout when i was younger in the winter. so id say corkies and large spoons and hardplastics.

Red has always been my favorite color. Strawberry/white, Plum/white,28 mirrolures, gold spoons/red bucktail. If thats not working I like pearl/chartreuse, pearl/hot pink, pearl/fire tip. my buddies like morningglory/chartreuse.
