  • Flounder Chasers

I have an R.V. at Louis bait camp and I was fishing off the pier for the R.V. park and I got to watch the flounder chase my lure and strike it today. I can't believe how clear the water is this year. I fished for an hour and picked up my November limit and released them along with 3 under sized flounder. This was during the incoming tide. I'm sure it light up when the tide switched.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

That is easy fishing...always nice when you can see them chasing. The water for sure has been clear this year compared to last.

I caught my limit in 2 casts today. Both times they hit my jig as I was reeling in, about 6 feet from the dock. Both were so deeply hooked, it appears they absolutely INHALED the hook. I'm just glad they were both keeper size. I don't usually like to keep flounder, I'm a redfish guy almost exclusively, but they were both done for. You're right, the water is VERY clear today.
