OK. You've seen me....most likely aground near Mud Island. Any tips for a guy w/o a shallow boat (1800 Kenner non tunnel) running Chocolate Bayou, West Bay, Christmas Bay? Any tips on going to/from West Bay to Cold Pass? Would a jack plate help me navigate the shallows more easily?

Thanks! No all bad - catching a few speks and reds. Just need to learn the water. Any advice?

If you'll be out there this weekend, I can run you around. Sunday will be best for me.

I'll be pretty busy Saturday, Sunday I'm fine until noon. At that time I fire up the radio/tv for football. I launch at the county park at SLP. I've got a camp in Titlum-Tatlum.

I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

Welcome, with your boat I wouldn't be running around near the mud cut area, if you need to get to the pass head towards Bird island from the east and look for the channel markers.

I'll show him, if we can get together.

Arthou, if you do not own a push pole, please go buy one. Seriously.
