what ru throwing and how do you have it rigged? if ur using a crank bait you need to take a look how it swims, with many you really need a swivel with a spin'n reel.

Top water and super spooks. Mostly hard plastic. Instead of swivels I do double uni knot.

well u may want to try a swivel just to see what happens. I use swivels and have no issues.
