Changing lure hooks

I was just seeing if anyone changes out there trebles on lures or removes hooks from there lures. Sometimes it seems two or three trebles may not be necessary, maybe one treble on the back or middle is all you need. Does anyone switch out the trebles for circles?

i've switched most of my stuff to a 'live bait hook w/a ring" 1/0 or a 2/0 hook.

Yep, it is the first part of the lure that needs replacing normally.

I like the regular VMC's trebles, not the heavier ones for my plugs. I switch out for circles on my trolling spoons, but that's about it.

I like larger circles on all my lures to approx match weight the treble that was designed for the plug. Hook up is fair/good but undoubtably causes less damage to the fish
