  • Blockade Runners framed?

Should be able to get the room framed this weekend, and hopefully make more progress on the porches. I won't make it out until at or just after sunset, but 007 and FlatoutFishin' will be out tomorrow. Going to try to get the place ready for the roof. If the winds lay down, we'll fish tomorrow night too. If you're in the neighborhood, stop on by. - Sandy

Sandy, I may stop by late late tomorrow evening, thinking about going to try some decent water to play with some flatties..

Oh yea it will be but there is still some flounderable water just not ideal there isn't much room to work some of it. If the tide stays low then that will work to my advantage, but more importantly I really don't care I just want to get out. Are ya'll staying the night?

Yep, I should be arriving there around sunset or so. Mike will be there starting around noonish.

Well, we did end up getting in a full day of work today, but we almost scrubbed it due to a listen of the weather report around 8am. It turned out beautiful until about noonish or so when a wall of wind came. Talk about GUSTY! Mike got the side porch and part of the rear porch done. We cleaned up a lot more and got a lot of the looted lumber organized, stacked, and cleaned of nails.

Hopefully we'll have good weather and we should be framing this coming weekend and looking for a new roof come 2 weeks from now. Thanks for all the hard work Mike. And thanks to dbarham too. He wanted to come, but I warned him off after hearing the weather report.

The plan is to have folks there and workin' on Friday. I'll be workin' with 007 on pulling Hullahopper's deck off, but TMO and Fishbobber are planning to be at the camp. Hopefully we'll catch a ride with Explorer21 to the club meeting at Hooters that afternoon, then head back to the camp that night. Now all we need is good weather .

Wish I could've stayed and helped Sandy. Mike and I did get a few fish in the boat. My first three fish on my new laguna Extreme were a red, a flounder. and a trout(SLAM), in that order. Then I popped a 22" for good measure. Given the wind Saturday and the water conditions, we did okay for 3 hours of fishing. Heck, I even managed a gafftop. Mike drew first blood with a respectable 18" trout. All mine came on norton sand eel jr in cayenne pepper on a 1/4 oz head.
I don't think I'll be able to help this weekend, but Friday might be possible out of all the days.
