There ain't nothing like fishing on a beautiful, calm dawn when the fish start busting and the sun comes up, and I always nod a little "thank you Jesus" but I don't get all tore up or tell anyone ... it's just that I feel good with my family, my friends, my fishing, and hey if you catch a trophy trout at 7 in the morning, or whatever you thing is good, you can go ahead and have that cold beer!

Not too sure where this ole sinner is going, other than I asked my wife to have me cremated and my ashes throw into the surf or the bay and she said to so the same. Like a salty ole dog I've done enough things to prolly deserve the ole heave-ho by Saint Pete, LOL. Old Will Rogers said something like "I dunno where old dogs go when they die, but I want to go there."

Fishing has taught me lots about life, and to cherish the love I got and to not sweat the setbacks in life so hard. I'm always learning something new every day I am out there, for if a man or woman stops learning, they stop living right. You learn that some people are innovators, or super dedicated, just there to be at peace on the water (that's me), or want something they can't define ... or just plain ole lucky. I have a brother who was so lucky he could foul cast, fart, and come up with a monster fish. It's all good, people.

Yep, my first reply said I must be going to Hell, then I remembered according to the Cannon, I can't because I believe in Jesus and have accepted him. One day we'll all get the answers, but hopefully not too soon. I've got fish to catch and sunsets to enjoy. I don't see anything wrong with talking about this stuff in a general interest forum. Religion/spirituality are very personal, but that shouldn't preclude discussion. I've got plenty of friends that follow other religions and I think that's one of the best parts about our Constitution. We The People allowed it from the beginning.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

            Whats the Cannon?

It's me putting one too many N's in the word "Canon".

Sorry we wasted your time Jerry. Wasn't our intention.

Geeez.... whats concerns me more is that I'll never get back the 3 1/2 minutes I just lost by reading some of the stupid b.s. said by a bunch of novice interpreters of religion.

Dang it! It hit me while I was out workin and sweatin my arse off today. I'm sorry guys for startin this. I remember somethin my Dad told me long ago...two things you never talk about or get into a discussion about are "religion and politics". Once again I'm sorry. Like I said, what set me off is the mutterings of a fool that obviously don't remember what the content of the wedding vows means. "Till death do us part".

You didn't have to read it, pard. You can ask for a refund at the front desk on your way out the door.
