  • Walk in spots- Rockport area

My Dad and I are making a trip to Rockport in the a.m to look at a boat. We were thinking of exploring a little bit and walking in somewhere. I see that Copano Bay is right there, any easy access spots? And I only want to know spots where there are fish, thank you ..

On north side of Fulton Peninsula near Port Bay are some access spots. Go to Google Earth and scout around some.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. I'll give you an ocean kayak and a bluewave for the sh. deal?

Robalo--I was on Google Earth for awhile, I just couldn't find many spots where I could park my truck.

It's kind of tough around there to access walk-in spots. I was down working in Rockport for 2 years and we would go over by Port Bay-just can't remember the exact spots/access. Likely some are "closed" to public traffic also (all the development since I was there in 2000). Try off Port Bay road and also the road to Redfish Lodge. When I was there, I recall they were building Redfish Lodge and I believe they had Private Property signs, but we ignored them back then-nothing much there. Another place we tried was near the airport on north side into Copano bay along north side of FM 1781-also north of HWY 35 bridge on 1781-you should see some dirt roads that get you near the point-go NE. Good luck Alex. If ya see "Victoria" the bartender, blond long hair, probably about 40 ish now, very nice lady-Tell her I said "Hi".
