Meyer says that if he was faced with the same situation again, “I would do it a hundred times” though he would change only one thing: ”I wish I could have kept them alive.”

He insists he is not a hero, but was only doing “what Marines do…I’m the furthest thing from a hero,”

Gives you goose bumps reading it...best of the best for sure!

From the Journal article..."As they pressed deeper into the ambush area, Sgt. Rodriguez-Chavez warned of the risk that the Humvee could get stuck in the rough terrain. "I guess we'll die with them," Sgt. Meyer responded, according to the military's account of the raid.

On a fifth and final run into the fighting area, Sgt. Meyer led two other officers in search of the missing training-team members."

A FIFTH run into an area being held by 50 Taliban...FIFTH...these two kept coming back till their brothers were out...leave no man behind...

            Incredible MAN!

What always struck me about Congressional Medal of Honor recipients is the fact that for each one, hundreds of thousands of men through the ages have made the ultimate sacrifice for others. They did it for people who couldn't, or wouldn't go forth and serve. I feel like every single one of these guys, and now gals too, that ever went into harms way for us, putting their own lives on the line for us and their buddies . . . . . well, it just gets me choked up and I don't know if this is coming out right, but I think every single one deserves the same respect. Some would say you can't give a CMH to every service member who ever did this because it would water it down. But these men don't fight for medals, they don't do it for the recognition. They do it for us, and especially for each other. Sometimes I feel like a dork doing it, but whenever I see one in uniform, I just walk up and tell them, "Sir, I just want to thank you for your service." Most of them are younger than me these days, but I address them as Sir because they're more of a man than I'll ever be.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

This young man is undoubtedly a HERO, with or without some medal. He makes us all proud.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I've been workin' with Texas T to try and get the some Wounded Warriors out to the camp. It's been tough with all the red tape.

As soon as we can get the ducks in a row, I'll post something up. I'm offering them a place to stay, fish off the dock, and good food. But I'm sure someone else would be better at getting them on fish.

Not sure about putting them on fish but the 27 contender here if you need it. Might be a more little better ride if needed in bad weather.

Nice, guys. With enough people working together it can be done!
