I woke up at 4 and checked the winds, it was blowing 18 out of the southwest so I decided to save my money and go another day.Comment

Capt. Josh called me before lunch and said it's howling on the west end. It doesn't sound like we are going to be able to go either, but he did say he would call me back this afternoon. It's been too hot for me to fish during the day, so I was looking forward to a night trip and some fresh flounder. Someone must have hacked off the weather goddess again.Comment

Well, the trip is a no go. I don't know who was more bummed, me or Capt. Josh. Oh well, he said we can give it a try sometime next week. Several of the long range forecasts are calling for a good chance of rain next week as well. If they are right, that will be a blessing. I guess I will do some work on the skiff tomorrow instead. I am moving the side console to the center and putting in a new seat. Might as well work on getting it ready, so when the weather cooperates, I can go take a stab at it.Comment
