  • Has anyone ever heard of/put fishing lights on a yak?

I went to academy to buy some of the $20.00 green lights - bought 3. We are thinking of going to the kemah bridge and putting in where the channel is.

Any tips or experiences with this? Would it be more productive for us to yak to people's pier lights in kemah rather than stick em on the sides of our yak? They are submersible by the way.

PS - Any decent direction/area/spot to try this would madly be appreciated via PM. I can exchange one of my own (not one that anyone on the forums has told me).
I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

ACK has some fishing lights that can be installed directly to your yak.

Sonny you need running light's on your yak at night. You can get one of those clamp on white light's.It would be better if you were fishin light's that aren't attached to your yak.

        Seabrook Spot

This is the only one I know. The spot I have circled is at a bridge with a street light that shines towards the water. I have caught specks there in the winter. It is about 12-14ft deep.

The land around it is private, so stay in the kayak.

Sweet...guess we are going to kemah to fish in ppls lights off boat docks. Also still gonna try these green lights out so I'll report back on the green light situation and how it went.
