Best Way to Fish Deer Islands and Greens Cut areas

Hi Folks- am looking for insight and tips on fishing the greens cut and deer islands, confederate areas....

Is it better to drift fish, anchor, or wade? Seems pretty shallow around the deer islands but the aerial looks like there are some guts- guessing these may hold fish. I've been hitting greens lake all summer with good results but want to try and learn a different area starting this weekend.
