Fishing this weekend

Heading down this weekend to try out the surf and some bay action with a kayak that I am borrowing. Stopping by Academy on the way out of town, any recommendations?

I already have a full tackle box but I plan on getting some more gulps.

I will be fishing somewhere between the Rusty Hook and the pass, if you see someone in the bay paddling in circles that's probably me. Just kidding about the circles. I've got the paddling figured out.

Actually I'm thinking about heading across the big bridge to surfside, I think I can some up with the $4 needed for round trip. Will be in a red xterra. The gas guzzling truck is staying in the driveway.
