FWY for newbies, all you need to be a member of the club and attend club meetings is buy the first 5 or 6 rounds for everyone.

Seriously, it doesn't matter how new you are. If you're a registered member here, you're part of the club and you should come to club meetings.

I'll explain the real initiation custom when you arrive. You need to bring about 20 lbs of ice, a 9 iron, and probably 5 or 6 rolls of duct tape.

Last time you forgot the vegetable oil. This is a reminder.

Man, the evening I am staying in Houston, and it is back in Galveston! Gotta work late in Clear Lake, then staying overnight to hopefully go on the FWE dove hunt on Saturday.

I'm worried about the forecast. If it's blowing 25 and raining, I'm likely to cancel my appearance because I won't be goin' to the camp in all that. I'll wait and see though.

If anyone is heading to the "meeting", say between 5 and 7, and can stop by my place just off 3005 in Palm Beach. I could use help unloading some railroad ties. I will compensate with a beer or two at the meeting. Thanks either way.

If someone can do this for me, I need an up to the minute wind/tide report from the island at 3:20 today.

If it looks clear, the tide's not too low and the wind's not too high, I'm hooking up and heading down to the camp to make sure there's nothing that can't take winds around 60 just laying around. Then I'll hit the meeting as soon as I'm done. I don't see myself staying the night out there.

                            Sandy,
If you'll remind me, I'll do my best to supply you with that info.
also, here's a link to the TAMUG monitor station in San Luis Pass http://lighthouse.tamucc.edu/overview/526

For what it's worth, TD 13 is stalled and will be for a day or two. Current winds are about 12mph out of the NE on the island and low tide (0.0) at SLP will be about 2pm today.

Tide is high and standing high with these winds. Blowing about 15-20 plus now out of ene. No rain just windy.
