So what's the best new mono out there these days. I've always stuck with Big Game or Ande. Looking into some of these others out there, Sufix, Spider mono, ex.
Big game here as well. I've converted to braid and I'll never ever use mono again.
Lost more fish on top-waters with mono bc of the stretch (braid doesn't) can't have it. I use the $10 spider wire in the yellow/black or maroon/black package - cheap and efficient. The other day had a 37" bull red hit clobber my top water and I thought I had on 10 lb. test - it was actually 10 lb. mono diameter braid with 30 lb. test properties. That's just one more benefit - casts like 10 lb. test with 30 lb. test properties.
Not to mention braid is easier to get out backlashes. It is also easier to feel bumps/strikes. Only downside is it's tough to bite through which is why I use a norton quick-clip w/swivel and carry around finger nail clippers!
Not trying to convert you! LOL.
I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!
Ande: Cheap and good-I use 12# Clear-I buy 1/4 pound spools-used to cost $4.99, not I think $6 spool, but ya get 1000 yards.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
