  • H20 Baits Discussion - Ok...what am I missing here?! Lol

Ok, so let's be real here fellas...what's the scoop on the H20 baits? I'm sure it's been asked time and time again on the forums but I have a feeling they are either really, really good or completely terrible! Don't gotta give me your secrets but has anyone had success on them?

Post your unbiased thoughts and opinions please!

I have been eyeing this Original Croaker Saltwater Swimbait every trip to academy....this looks so friggin' realistic but it was $8! It looked so real I wanted to fillet it! Academy got me to take 2 or 3 swipes at it and I always put it back but they finally caught a keeper Lol.

Here's a picture: Field testing the croaker in the surf tomorrow - foregoing top-waters! I will let you guys know how it goes!

PS - The blurry picture doesn't do this thing justice - it's multi-jointed and it looks REAL lol. Thinking of soaking it overnight in my gulp packages ha ha.
I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

I have no idea what they're like, but the way you've been catching them on topwaters I think I'd stay with the one that brought you!

Ha ha....amen! I couldn't resist though. Moe always tells me the lures catch the fisherman not the fish and it looks like I'm living up to that standard lol

Saw all the H2O lures 30% off at Academy in Houston the other day, most were gone off the shelf.
        Today is a new day!!

It may work. I've never has much luck with super realistic lures, except maybe shrimp ones. I've also never fished a multi-jointed swim bait.
